In addition to jpg, bmp, tif, Is there any way to add PSD extension support?

I doubt this will ever be supported. The generator only works with images, not dynamic build files like .PSD, .PDF or .AI for some examples. Maybe one day .PDF might be possible... but the others, probably not.
