RAWR-Designs started around January 2007. The Thunderchicken of Glory, also known as the 'ToG' was a very popular template at the time. The Terayon was only just appearing on the rejetto forum, also rapidly growing in popularity. Chris 'That Stevens Guy' Stevens, a university student completing a Bachelor of Multimedia. Started talking over the rejetto forum to Richard 'Giant Eagle' Tuininga, an IT student and capable programmer.

As time passed the Terayon and ToG stayed as separate projects on the forum, but gradually each template was being worked on by both That Stevens Guy and Giant Eagle. Eventually some other applications started coming out of the team as well. Each template grew so popular that they both were given a child board on the forum. By late 2007, it was decided that the team required a name, and the work should be combined into one child board and website. This is when RAWR-Designs was born.
