Thumbnail and Preview Generator

The Thumbnail and Preview Generator is an application written in Visual Basic .NET to ease the batch processing of images. It is a flexible program that can be used for much more than its intended purpose. Not only can it be used with our HFS Templates, it can also be used to compress images for email and other web gallery purposes.

Challenge:
Produce an image conversion program to make creating web galleries easier. The interface must be easy to use, and simple to understand.

Solution:
The easiest solution came using Visual Basic. With our limited knowlege of software production VB was an easy place for us to learn the basics and implement the features required. The user interface was designed by myself and the back end programming handled by Richard Tuininga.
